1. Account and Admin Assistant

If you have an interest in accountancy, a clear understanding of office environments, great communication and interpersonal skills and are reasonably computer literate, come and join us!

Job Scopes

  • Process and keep track of all invoices, claim forms and requests for payment.
  • Calculate and check to make sure payments, amounts, and records are correct and to match the accounts system in an accurate manner.
  • Ensure and maintain orderly all account records and all filing is done in a timely and accurate manner into the system.
  • Assist with preparing bill listing and processing cheques for payment purposes every month.
  • Provide assistance to staff members like answering, receiving phone calls and taking messages.
  • General administrative duties including update and maintain mailing list of the company, maintain the supply of office requisites, etc.
  • Other ad-hoc duties as requested.

Job Requirements

  • College diploma or degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Proficient in computer software programs, such as Microsoft Office applications. Preferably with knowledge of UBS / SAGE accounting software.
  • • Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of accounting and financial principles.
  • Required skills: good interpersonal skills, able to work with minimum supervision, committed, motivated with good working attitude, initiative & integrity.
  • Required languages: strong competency in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Experience with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners, LCD monitor setting up

2. Technical Programme Officer


Are you the person who likes to sharpen your skills and apply your expertise for good use? The Technical Programme Officer works to support the success of the programme through various technical activities.

Job Scopes

  • Support the development of Wild Asia’s technical program focusing on driving sustainable practices among small producers of oil palm. This covers good agricultural practices, social, environmental and legal matters.
  • Implementation of technical program at project sites including delivery of training and technical assistance at project sites.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or demonstrable experience in related fields such as agronomy, agriculture, social or environmental sciences.
  • Personable and positive attitude, both within the office and out in the community.
  • A team player as well as the ability to work independtly.
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Solid grasp of common GIS concepts, techniques and tools and substantial experience working with GIS software, preferably ArcGIS and its extensions including Geo-referencing, mapping, and Land Use change analysis.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function
    independently in a busy office environment. Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple
    projects at once.

3. Field Programme Coordinator (Based in Sabah)

      As a Field Programme Coordinator you will be based in field project site in Sandakan to help communities to bring about social and environmental change and improve the quality of life. You will work with individuals, families and whole communities to empower them to identify their assets, needs, opportunities, rights and responsibilities and to plan what they want to achieve and take appropriate action.

As a Field Programme Coordinator you will act as the link between palm oil producer communities and a range of other local stakeholders and programme partners.

Job Scopes

  • Establish rapport with a wide range of local partners: from local businesses to community members. You will need to be able to credibly disseminate information about the programme to potential partners and supporters.
  • Facilitate the implementation of the programme including establishing network, conducting training, farm visiting, and progress monitoring.
  • Manage resources including personnel and logistics, coordinate and implement on-site activities, and produce reports reflecting the outputs.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or demonstrable experience in related fields such as agronomy, agriculture, social or environmental sciences.
  • Personable and positive attitude, both within the office and out in the community.
  • Fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Passionate about neighbourhood development, resident participation, and the idea of people working together to create positive change. Has demonstrated vision and creativity
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Gmail system.
  • Experience or some knowledge in palm oil cultivation or agronomy.
  • Solid time management skills; ability to handle multiple projects, meet deadlines, and function
    independently in a busy office environment. Must have demonstrated experience managing multiple
    projects at once.
