Ordinary People, Our Inspiration
Wild Asia Heroes is a series of inspirational stories to highlight the amazing work done by ordinary people for the environment and society.Wild Asia Heroes is a new feature series for Wild Asia. We will showcase 10 inspirational stories, ordinary people doing extraordinary work for the environment and society.
A Wild Asia hero could be a student working to save an endangered species, or a community initiating a renewable energy project in their village. It could be a youth group working to reverse mangrove destruction, or a local inventor who has come up with an innovative green design. Our Wild Asia Heroes will all share a common vision, to not only protect the environment, but to also empower communities to live sustainably.
This year we will select a hero a month for 10 consecutive months and highlight their stories in our website and newsletter. At the end of the year, we will invite the public to vote for the person or group whose project has the most impact and best exemplifies the Wild Asia spirit. The winner will be named the Ultimate Wild Asia Hero.
We hope that their stories will inspire others to emulate their work, and that the publicity generated will help them get the support they need.

I think that this type of award or recognition deserves support and encouragement..perhaps the promotion can be stepped up at the local colleges and universities levels for students interested in issues related to the preservation of endangered wildlife, fauna and flora or cultural rituals..which requires historical documentation and preservation..thanks
