How we can Help

With practical experience gained over the years, we have built a unique set of skills to help promote responsible agriculture. We help buyers assess their producers. We help producers make sense of International standards. We also go down to the ground to conduct conservation, social or community assessments.

Wild Asia has gained its practical experiences from working with corporations in Asia, primarily in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea and the Soloman Islands. We have worked at the ground level, with both managers and workers, and have sat in the boardrooms advising them on what needs to be done and how they can improve. It is this field-policy experience that makes us a unique partner. What gives us this confidence is our understanding of International standards (like the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO)) and the values that underlie these principles. Read on for how we have engaged the sector and used our skills to innovate change from within.

Get a Baseline Review

For many companies, understanding how you currently perform against a known standard is the most important step. A baseline assessment will be able to identify compliance gaps, and help you optimize your plans or help you towards certification audits. We are well-placed to conduct baseline assessments for both plantations, buyers, processors and investors.

Biodiversity & Conservation Assessments

Wild Asia has been using conservation assessments, including HCVF (High Conservation Value Forests) assessments, as an important tool in guiding private and government sectors towards responsible management of natural resources. These assessments are often multi-disciplinary in nature, and involve a team of experts who work together to provide a clear understanding of issues at the landscape or site level.

Invite our Advisors

Contact us how we can help. We have a wide range of expertise at hand and we are keen to use this to guide future developments, or to help improve the way you run your plantations. We have developed a number of models to help. For example, long-term advisory capacity or on-the-ground training.

Who have we worked with?

Wild Asia goes beyond theories! We have been privileged to work with some of the largest oil palm companies in Malaysia and the region, and this experience has helped us gain a deeper insight into how a plantation company works.
