RSPO-endorsed Training Courses

Combining our expertise and experiences in the field, and our work on sustainability standards, Wild Asia and ProForest have come together to develop a series of Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) endorsed training courses. Learn more about the courses we are currently running.

Written by Wild Asia on 1 Feb 2010

Since Wild Asia and ProForest (UK) finalized our partnership in 2008, we have worked together to design small-group courses that are practical and interactive, aiming to accelerate the learning experience of our students. These courses are designed for RSPO-approved auditors or for those interested in understanding RSPO.

These are the courses available for 2010.

RSPO Lead Auditor Course (SSP 02)

Endorsed by the RSPO, the SSP Lead Auditor Course on RSPO P&C is a professional auditing course and is designed for auditors within RSPO approved Certification Bodies to meet the RSPO auditor requirements. The course is also open to internal auditors or organizations providing advisory in RSPO.

Course modules will cover understanding of the RSPO P&C for both plantations and supply chains, with a focus on requirements for auditing, planning and the certification systems. The course includes a practical audit component and exams.

Interpretation & Implementation of the RSPO Principle & Criteria (SSP 01)

Endorsed by the RSPO, this course is suitable for practitioners, plantation managers and anyone who requires a working understanding of the RSPO. The course syllabus is derived from actual practical case studies from ProForest and Wild Asia's ground experience in Southeast Asia, Africa and South America, providing valuable practical insights into use and understanding of the standard.

Course date: 5 - 7 October 2010

Course code: SSP 01 Interpretation of RSPO

Venue: TBC, Malaysia

Maximum capacity: 25 pax
