Biodiversity for Busy Managers

by Wild Asia

Biodiversity for Busy Managers is a resource for land managers, planners and decision-makers with an interest in sustainability and biodiversity in their operations. It is a joint initiative of MPOC and Wild Asia to assist land developers to understand and protect our natural resources.

Biodiversity for Busy Managers is a new initiative by the Malaysian Palm Oil Council and Wild Asia to develop useful and practical resources for those on the front line of land development. The idea is to inspire, share and guide managers and planners about the key biodiversity issues that apply to land development, and to look at opportunities for inspiring change.

Starting in 2010, Biodiversity for Busy Managers aims to develop and provide resources in multiple formats to enable quick and easy access to information. By 2011 we hope to be able to offer:

Biodiversity Resources

Want to learn more about how oil palm plantations affect wildlife? Biodiversity Information for Oil Palm has been created by the Zoological Society of London to promote better access to information and resources available to guide efforts to reduce the impact of oil palm plantations on forests and wildlife. It contains both a library of scientific research relating to oil palm and the environment as well as practical guidance to assist in mitigating these impacts.
