Wild Asia's Annual Responsible Tourism Event will be organized around our Annual Responsible Tourism Awards, the first pan-Asian award for excellence in responsible tourism. We believe that sustainable destinations can be made a reality by creating rewards, promoting knowledge sharing and inspiring change from within the travel industry.

Now in its fourth year, the Awards are aligned to the United Nation's World Tourism Organization's (UNWTO) Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria and we hope to encourage more operators from the region to step forward and share their best practices. Why are sustainable destinations important? For the simple, yet poignant, reason that there will be no travel business in Asia without sustainable destinations.

Our Awards: Learn, Be Inspired & Make a Difference

Wild Asia's Responsible Tourism Awards were launched in 2006 with the main objectives being to: (a) identify inspiring operators in Asia; (b) learn from practitioners and real-life examples; and (c) create avenues to share ideas and knowledge. Our Awards event is now in its fourth year and we have planned a series of events to help realize our objectives. This year's Awards event will be held in conjunction with CSR Asia's International Annual CSR Summit in Kuala Lumpur, an annual gathering of corporations, NGOs and consultants who are working to improve corporate responsibility in Asia. It is fitting that we have chosen to associate our annual awards with this event.
